| Life has been busy busy busy. School seems to take up every spare minute and then work grabs the rest and all my time seems to disappear. But as to a current update, our noisy, illegal immigrant, upstairs neighbors were kicked out/possibly deported which was fabulous, no more bass drowning out my existence. Nobody moved in for months, until this week, though these people seem much nicer and respect noise levels and haven't been drinking and smoking on the staircase, always a plus round here.
Westminster, school is going well however I'm taking more credits this semester than last semester while working the same hours so it will be trying I'm sure. But my classes are getting more interesting, I'm nearing the end of my time of being immersed in nothing but Hebrew and Greek and soon I will spread my fledgling wings and get to start writing exegetical papers, woo-hoo : )
Jason and I found and are members of a wonderful, wonderful church, they have been the best part of being down in Escondido in some ways. Especially the elders with Jason, encouraging him, they have a great internship program designed for students in the Master of Divinity program to focus on practical application for ministry. I'm getting more involved with the ladies stuff and Jason is going to be preaching monthly at a nursing home which our church does a service at.
I get to teach my hip-hop dance class once a week which has been really fun. We get to explore San Diego more when family has come to visit, we are looking forward to the summer (which equals no school) where we will have more time to go hit the hot spots. Reading everyones updates about rain and snow and freezing temperatures, I can report that winter has officially left Southern California and sunny warm days abound, which I can't quite get used to seeing as summer doesn't usually come in february. I'm still waitressing at the restaurant, though hopefully I will not be there forever as I've found that waittressing tends to make me bitter and angry some nights, but God has totally provided through our jobs and we are surviving in the land of sky high prices for everything.
I am so thankful that Jason and I get to go to school together, it's amazing to actually get to do this together. I know it will be a continued blessing for the rest of our lives, though sometimes I want to collapse under the weight of books that at times oppress me, but we will go on. I've become addicted to gilmore girls, we have not t.v. but over christmas I started with the first season and now i'm progressively making my way through. I finish watching and want to find someone to talk really fast and banter with; anyhoo i must put some new pictures up, always the highlight of a post-
a little time at Malibu-

going crazy-
me and my daddy at christmas (we went up to reno for a whole week, but boo there was no snow)
and that's all folks
hugs to all my dear darling friends who are far off, miss you!!!
| I am about to emerge from the oppression of my Greek class- just one
more day!! Jason and I have been cramming studying into every aspect of
our life as we've been doing "intensive summer greek" aka boot camp,
and they aren't kidding. Literally I've never felt like I've studied
so much for one class, it's a semester of Greek in five weeks. The
rewarding part is that, though I sound it out like a two year old, I
can now read actual verses of the new testament. Albeit at this point
I can only read the real simple ones, but by the end of the year I'm
supposed to be capable of working through virtually any passage in the
new and/or Old Testament. Classes start on next thursday and I'm
really looking forward to taking all my classes, getting to talk about
theology, the Bible, dead languages all the time is going to be waaay
fun : ) I've just been working (at Macaroni Grill- an Italian restaurant) and studying so not too much. Jason and I have passes to the San Diego Zoo and wild animal park, so we've gotten to go there a couple times. It's so cool we go later in the day and hear the lions roaring and watch the tiger leap and jump on things. pretty sweet. here's some pics from Hawaii since I know pictures make every update better!! love to all
this is Wailua river- we went kayaking down this river and on to a hike, it was so gorgeous
horsebackriding with an ocean view
hike to a "secret" waterfall for lunch and swimming
hanging out at the beach
and this is our "hi we're tourists" picture at Waimea canyon, which is called the grand canyon of the pacific
that's all the fun for now : ) back to studying for me...

| Big news on my end.....on June 10th Jason and I got married (hurray!). I wish I could have chartered a private plane and brought you all over for it, it was beautiful and perfect.

the next day we left for Kauai, Hawaii, where we had a condo right on the beach. It was absolutely beautiful and so fun because Jason planned the whole thing as a surprise for me, I didn't know where we were going until we were driving the reception. We had so much fun hiking, snorkeling, kayaking, we went surfing, walked on the beaches, ate great food, gawked at the amazing mountains on Kauai and how lush and flat gorgeous it is. So wonderful, after ten days there we headed back to Reno and had four days to pack up all of our stuff and now we are in Escondido, CA starting to get moved in before Seminary starts up. Crazy, whirlwind of a month and now we have forts made out of boxes in every room. Miss you all, and hope English camp is going to be wonderful; I wish I could be there and be a little teacher again, is camp at the same place as last year? please someone update me on Slovakia!! I need to be in the know-
all my love to you all
from a blissfully happy newlywed, who finally got to marry the love of her life (that's me, yeah:)

| so I possibly qualify as the worst updater ever- I could go on and on about how busy i've been with working 50+ hours a week and trying to plan a wedding in my spare time and trying to get in time with friends and family before I leave for reals, but you all have busy lives too and you find time so now I am without excuse.... on to better things, let me give you a little update, a little peek into the life of Naomi- well first off HAPPY EASTER!!!! He is risen (He is risen indeed) : )
we had a sunrise easter service at my parents house this morning and then breakfast and church later on, and it was such a wonderful morning, I pray that you all had a joyful easter day where you took time to remember and rejoice. Reno's easter present from the easter bunny this year is snow, there is a ton pouring outside as I write to make us really feel like spring is in the air!
Right now I am grappling with the fact that in two months everything in my life is going to change- I'm going to be newly married, living in Escondido, CA, going to a new school as a full-time Masters student, new church, new people, new everything, even a new name! And I'm quite excited about all that is to come, patience in the meantime is my trial. Jason and I got our engagment photos taken a couple weeks ago, and while I wish I could show you all 50 because pretty much all of them turned out fabulous here's a few of the best-
okay so xanga and my computer are not cooperating, so i'll have to put them up later; but i love and miss you all. I hope english camps and trips to Slovakia are wonderful for you all this summer, I wish I could say I'm coming too and make it a real big reunion, but not this year. much love, Naomi
